A nework license is one that has two or more license seats applied to a single keyserver machine. The keyserver must be accessible over a network to client machines. Licensed software can be used simultaneously on different client machines, up to the specified number of seats available on the keyserver. When the client closes the software, the seat is returned to the general pool.
This article is a collection of resources throughout the Zemax Knowledgebase relating to network licenses. Make sure you have a network license before proceeding.
Note: Both a Softkey and a Hardkey license is worth the full value of the software. We recommend that you purchase Zemax Productivity Assurance (ZPA) or insure the license for its full replacement value. If the key is lost or stolen and you do not have ZPA, it will not be replaced without payment. See the Zemax License Policy details here.
